THERE IS SOMETHING

by AW

There’s something in the way

that the trees are shrouded

in this silvery mist

The clouds blue and green

weave

through the stars

just a smattering

of earth’s scars

There’s something in the way

that your voice is haloed

in this accented bliss

The light gold and yellows

flows

through the trees

just a reflection

of god’s breeze

There’s something in the way

that in the red sun set

we know how to exist

The petals white and tea

dream

bow their heads

withered and decay’n

never dead

Did this something make you,

did this something make me?

Is this something omnipresent,

waiting to be seen?
