How do I become a contributor?
Will my name appear with my article?
Your initials will be with the piece itself, your full name, and title, will be in the acknowledgments, which are at the end of each issue. Your name can also be hyperlinked to your Twitter, Facebook, blog, or website.
Do I need to submit an idea for each issue?
We cannot reasonably expect that from anyone. If you want to, please do, but it certainly is no obligation. If you want you can choose to participate in the community without even submitting any articles.
What are the rules for contributing to Palmarium?
You can find all the rules in the Palmarium Contributors Pack.
How about the pictures that will go with my piece?
Generally we take care of finding pictures. Yet, you are more than welcome to submit the pictures you want with your piece. However, make sure they are royalty free or that you have the written consent of their rightful author/owner.
Are the contributions paid?
At the moment Palmarium does not make any money so we cannot afford to pay our contributors, or our team even. We see it as a chance to get your work and ideas published. Later we plan on implementing partnerships and offering rewards for your work.
Can my submission be rejected?
Yes but let us hope not, we have set up a process, which you can find more information on in the Contributors Pack. We cannot publish everything and therefore will select what we find to be the best article ideas. That is why we ask you to submit a good draft before telling you to go ahead or not. This way we do not waste too much of your time.
What are the terms and conditions?
Before submitting you will be asked to confirm you have been through the Contributors Pack and written your piece accordingly. Moreover you agree to share your piece under a Creative Commons license (CC BY 3.0: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/). You can amend this license if you want, if so please add that to the written documents you upload.
Can I get feedback on my piece?
Certainly, as long as you ask for it.
